Historic Districts require distinctive beautiful banners adapted to the site and coordinated with nearby street and light pole banners. Designer Mettje Swift creates shaped decorative banners to highlight the streetscape. The banners are artist designed for the specific location, hot cut and sewn from light translucent bright nylon. Triangular shaped decorative banners highlight the streetscape and eliminate the bottom arm bracket which often obstructs the view. Banners framed as rectangles allow for a larger image and hold the banner more firmly.

Mettje designs for applique banners that are made to last and mounted to protect the material. When the banners are damaged they are simple to restore. The bright nylon is tough enough for outdoor use, treated to prevent ultra violet degradation and easy to clean. The fiber does not absorb dirt or grease and can be washed clean with soap and water.The banners are made of nylon banner cloth that is hot cut to seal the edges and prevent fraying.
